We’re in October and unfortunately it is already autumn, almost winter. Leaves are getting yellow and the sun get out earlier. And the weather, what can I say ? It is colder, cloudy and rainy with some moments of sun, but well as I am in Hamburg maybe except the temperature I did not really noticed any difference with summer. But autumn means also new fruits such as grapes, grapefruit or oranges. So good!
This weekend some friend of mine came home so I show them how to bake macarons. Because yes, even in Germany macarons are pretty successful. But here it is the same problem as everywhere else, „how to success baking the shell?“. As you might know the key is he meringue, which is kind of a pretty tough pastry technic. So I showed them how to do that, an I must say it was pretty fun!
As I said in my previous article about the orange cheesecake macarons, the cheesecake is the cake that everybody love in Germany. In France unfortunately my family is not a real fan of unknown foreign specialties, even if it is delicious creamy and tasty… But as I am a bit obstinated, I always bake the cake I want when I am with my family. And here like always, it has been a success.
I do not know anything better than a great apple pie to end a diner. Anything better because there is almost nothing to do. The recipe is easy and efficient and works almost all the time! Nobody can be allergic, and almost nobody can’t say I do not like it. If you just think about it, an apple pie is a pie crust, some apple and sugar, that’s it !

Las Saturday the weather was kind of better in Hamburg. Kind of better because there were only few clouds in the sky!
