Orange Grape Cake

orange-grape-cakeWe’re in October and unfortunately it is already autumn, almost winter. Leaves are getting yellow and the sun get out earlier. And the weather, what can I say ? It is colder, cloudy and rainy with some moments of sun, but well as I am in Hamburg maybe except the temperature I did not really noticed any difference with summer. But autumn means also new fruits such as grapes, grapefruit or oranges. So good!

Some little Madeleine

Madeleine CommercyMadeleine is one of the biggest classics of the French Cuisine and even a piece of the French culture. The legend says that a servant from Lorraine (Madeleine Paulmier) who baked for the duke Stanislas Leszczynski in the city of Commercy. This small cake would then become famous in France thanks to the railroad. When the train stopped in the train Station of Commercy, madeleine sellers were screaming the name of their company to sell as much madeleine as possible.
